It’s a little past 6 AM, and I’m slowly chewing through my bowl of müsli.
Going to sleep last night was no easy task. I kept fidgeting, tossing and turning and thought I’d never be able to sleep again, ever. I think I managed to slip into sleep by midnight, landing on barely 6 hours of sleep.
I find it odd how I can force myself up despite minimal sleep, but can’t for the life of me wake up after 8-9 hours that I got to sleep the night before. I more or less had to keep my eyes open with my fingers, and walked around like a zombie, despite my luxury of having slept so long.
I was contemplating on packing my gym bag for a training session tonight, but as I can already now feel the immense burn in my thighs and calves from yesterday’s regular spinning and bodybalance workout, I think I’ll pass…Even though it means I won’t be training again until Sunday.
My burn is so much worse this time around because I completely gave it my all at spinning class, for once. The regular trainer was sick and filling in for her, was one of my favorite trainers I haven’t been booking myself in with for a while because of my conflicting schedule. It really makes a difference who you’re training with, different trainers motivate and push you to such different limits.
These past few days have been all about school. I’m not going to lie about not having a lot on my plate this semester, especially since it took me so long to get going last semester. But I continue to keep my chin up and work hard.
I’m going to do this.
