Day one of school for this year started yesterday with a math lecture at 8 AM followed by a lecture in the follow-up course in programming at 10 AM. After lunch, Sofia and I sat down in a quiet room and did our math exercises, without talking, for two whole hours. We took breaks, walked around and worked through questions we were stuck on, together- and I was so glad we finally found a study routine. [Let’s just hope we stick to it]
It felt a little slow getting started again, even though I’ve been studying a little over the break, it took quite a bit to get the gears in my head working again.
And I’m still thinking about how I even managed to get to school BEFORE my lecture at 8 started. How I actually managed to roll out of bed at 5:45 is beyond me.
There were no classes after lunch, but we stuck around for our meeting at 5 PM, with the girl-organisation at computer science [‘D-Chip’]. We were the newly elected board for D-Chip, and were balling around some great ideas for this year. All very excited to start again.
This morning I woke up at 6 AM [I’m still impressed about waking up so early yesterday morning, I wonder how many more times I’ll be able to wake up before 8…] for my 6:45 AM shape-class. I had the option of 1. Sleeping in till 8 AM and then go for my programming lecture at 10, or 2. Getting 7 hours of sleep, train for 45 minutes, shower, breakfast, school.
Option 1 looked a little boring so I settled for the second, and I feel energized and ready to start my day. Though I won’t be doing this that often, or I’d die for sure.
Now I’m going to throw my books into my bag and head out to the bus stop. I thought I deserved a quick pat on the back, being the beginning of the week, the new year, start of school and all.
