I can’t believe it’s already been a year. A year since Adrian and I nervously stood by the receptionist at the gym and took a giant leap of spontaneity. We had no clue what we were getting ourselves into, all we knew was that we were determined not to fail our hopes of frequenting the gym and lead healthier and better lives. We promised each other we’d have each person’s back, and that we’d keep pushing to reach our goals together.
Here we are a year wiser, and we’re still pushing on- with more of his friends joining.
Above are the statistics of my first year as a proud gym member.
Notice the dip in August-September, that was our trip to the States and freshers starting. That period was definitely hell for my training-life. I had no training-life.
At least I managed to pick up the last few months. It’s a shame that they only count the number of times I visit the gym, instead of the number of classes, as they are a bit more. Oh well.
I average on a puny 2.08 visits/week as it is now, one of my training goals of the year is to raise that to a stable 3.0 visits/week, which shouldn’t be too hard, at the rate I’m going now.
It’s all about balance.
School, training, social life.
I can do it, I want to do it, I will do it.
